The Housing Complex blog at Washington City Paper has the story… plans by the furniture chain, Room & Board, to open a store at the southwest corner of 14th and T NW have collapsed, apparently due to the chain’s inability to get financing:

Another month, another unexpected chapter in the 14th and T saga. Jule Banville has been dutifully reporting previous twists and turns over at City Desk since last July. Back then, neighbors and commenters were cheering Tryst/Diner/Open City ownerConstantine Stavropoulos and his associates’ plan to bring an eatery, comedy club, yoga studio and dance studio to the building.
