Happy Groundhog Day. What are you seeing this morning? Shadows and six more weeks of winter… or no shadows and an early spring?
I realize most of us don’t have a groundhog handy, so I advise using your dog. If your dog sees his or her shadow this morning, it means six more weeks of winter.

Apparently every groundhog in the DC metro area saw his shadow today.
Who doesn’t have a groundhog, for pete’s sake?
My dog didn’t see his shadow, but was looking the other way. Anyone know what that means?
Surely we are having 6 more weeks of winter, with btx 1 – 3 inches of snow expected tonite, and more for the coming weekend…..
Heard on NPR this morning that the Great State of Alaska, due to lack of groundhogs, has declared a marmot to be the stand-in…. Check out this link if you don’t know what a marmot looks like – as I had no clue myself!
