14th and U Farmers Market: Corn, Heirloom Tomatoes, Berrypalooza

The 14th & U Farmers’ Market is open Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Luis Gomez Photos)

The 14th and U Farmers Market is promising the sweet corn and heirloom tomatoes at the Garner table tomorrow… plus “Baby Artichokes (young, tender), French filet beans (haricots verts for the francophones), French shallots, red and black currants, gooseberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, sweet and pie cherries, thai basil…”

Remember that there are vendors with great baked goods, too. The market has a great Facebook Page with lots of updates.

I like Farmers Markets in general and really like this one because it’s not too big — easy to navigate.

    Hm. Is that cheese…artisanal?

In case people use the lovely photo as a reference, Keswick is no longer at the U Street market. The market still rocks though :)
