A new salon is scheduled to “open soon” on the stretch of 14th Street NW south of Rhode Island Avenue NW. Logan 14 Salon & Spa will open in August at 1314-B 14th, according to its website and will be an Aveda products salon.
The number of new businesses south of Rhode Island—replacing older businesses or opening in empty storefronts—has accelerated in the past year. At 1323 14th Street will be Teak Wood, serving Thai cuisine and seating 146 people; the owners operate Galea Thai in Alexandria. The building also houses the Crew Club. Teak Wood will become the third Thai restaurant between N and R streets.
