Evans-Silverman Debate at 6 p.m. in Foggy Bottom

Incumbent Jack Evans and challenger Cary Silverman are competing for the Democratic nomination for City Council in Ward 2 in the September 9 primary. (PDF of Ward 2 map here.) There is a debate between Evans and Silverman tonight in Foggy Bottom… at 6 p.m. at St. Stephen Martyr Parish Hall, 25th and Pennsylvania Ave., N.W. (Entrance to Parish Hall is on 25th between K and Pennsylvania Ave.) Here are the details courtesy of Logan Circle News:

The FOGGY BOTTOM ASSOCIATION is sponsoring a debate. CARY SILVERMAN, Challenger, and JACK EVANS, Incumbent, vying for the Democratic nomination to the Ward 2 Council seat. The debate will be moderated by COLBERT I. KING, Pulitzer-prizewinning journalist, former editorial page editor and current columnist of The Washington Post, and, most importantly, a Foggy Bottom native-including being an alumni of the Stevens School and Francis Junior High School-and a longtime friend of our community. Wednesday, August 20, 6-7 p.m. (Debate will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.) St. Stephen Martyr Parish Hall, 25th and Pennsylvania Ave., N.W. (Entrance to Parish Hall is on 25th between K and Pennsylvania Ave.) VOTE Sept. 9th!!
