DC Police arrested five people early Friday morning for prostitution solicitation near the intersection of 12th  and M Streets NW.
"Prostitution"
Police Service Area (PSA) 307 Lieutenant Jeffery Carroll announced the arrests and noted that PSA 307 officers will continue to work with the Third District Crime Suppression Team and the DC Police Prostitution Unit to address prostitution in the area.

In June, the Third District Crime Suppression Team led an operation that resulted in 10 prostitution-related arrests, also near 12th Street NW and M Street NW (see Logan Prostitution Operation Nets 10 Arrests).

One Response to “Police Make 5 Arrests for Soliciting Prostitution at 12th and M NW”

  1. Matt Raymond says:

The MPD is very much to be commended for this. These arrests occurred less than one day after I relayed the concerns of a constituent who had been observing this activity.

It is an excellent example of the importance of an effective interface between residents and police.
