The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a gun robbery on Florida Avenue NW on September 26 (Gun Robbery on Florida Avenue NW Wednesday Morning).

According to a release, the suspect entered Bill’s Cleaners at 1301 Florida Avenue NW at about 10:30 am. He showed a gun and demanded money from the cash register. After taking an unknown amount from the register, he fled the store less than two minutes after he entered and headed southbound on 13th Street NW.
The suspect is described as a 6’0” tall black male in his mid to late 20s. During the robbery, he was wearing a black skull cap, dark pants and shoes, and a neon green short sleeve shirt with a white long sleeve shirt under it.
Extensive surveillance footage from the robbery is available in a YouTube video uploaded last week by MPD.
Anyone with information in the case is asked to call MPD at 202-727-9099. Anonymous information can also be sent via text message to 50411. Individuals who provide information that leads to the arrest and conviction of robbery suspects can receive a reward of up to $10,000.
