Actually, the Police caught the male suspect. He was hiding in a crawl space in the same vacant house. We identified him after he was brought out and they took him away in cuffs. His backback contained burglary tools, and the victims stolen GPS from the vehicle with the broken window. I guess I should’ve mentined that before.

HA! I’m the guy that chased ‘him.’ This article has the facts slightly incorrect. My girlfriend and I watched the guy break into the vehicle from the corner of 15th and R St. I crossed the street, walking towards the man, and called 911. As he left the scene, I chased him up R St to the 14th St alley going towards S St. My girlfriend flagged down two DC bike cops who tackled the guy, but he resisted arrest and ran, and then broke into a vacant house through the skylight. The DC Police swarmed the area to include a helicopter. The Emergency Response Team used a battering ram to gain access to the vacant house and sent the dogs in after him. The lady that was apprehended from the house was just a random squatter. We saw the guy taking the picture of the broken window in this article because I’m sitting in the front seat of the police cruiser in the photo and my girlfriend was in the back seat warming her toes.

That is some serious manpower. Funny, when I called 911 to report gunfire a couple months ago, not one police car showed up, let alone 15.
