Borderstan is an online news site covering the Dupont-Logan-U Street neighborhoods in Washington, DC. Owners Matt Rhoades and Luis Gomez live in the neighborhood as do most of the 30-plus writers and editors who contribute to Borderstan.com.
In 2009 Washingtonian magazine named Borderstan as one of the best neighborhood blogs in the metro area. In 2011 readers of the Washington Blade voted Borderstan “Best Local Blog.” In 2012, Borderstan made the ballot of Top 5 Local Blogs in the Blade‘s reader poll. In The Washington Post’s Express Night Out’s Best of DC 2012, Borderstan took 3rd Place for Best Neighborhood blogs.
