March 22 – The editors of the Web site, “Who Murdered Robert Wone?” are posting these flyers today in the neighborhood… offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Wone’s killer. (Photo: Luis Gomez, One Photograph A Day.)
It is surely the most famous modern-day D.C. murder that happened oh-so-close to Borderstan: the Aug. 3, 2006, murder of attorney Robert Wone. It happened on the 1500-block of Swann Street NW, just one street above Borderstan’s northern border of S Street.
The unsolved murder has garnered so much coverage—due to the strange circumstances of the crime—that there is a Web site devoted to the Wone’s murder: “Who Murdered Robert Wone?” If you are not familiar with Wone’s murder, go to “FAQ – Wone: 101.” (You can also search Borderstan.com for earlier postings.)
