PSA 208 Crime Report, Dec. 5-7

The following crime report for Police Service Area (PSA) 208 is for December 5 to 7. PSA 208 covers the Dupont Circle and Kalorama neighborhoods.

• Robbery occurred in the 1800 b/o K St. NW on 12/6/2008 335pm. Citizen reports the suspect, a white male, 19yoa, 5’9, 150 lbs. snatched her purse. A witness chased the suspect and held him until MPD officers arrived. CASE CLOSED with the arrest of the suspect.
• Burglary occurred in the 1600 b/o Riggs Pl. NW on 12/5/2008 between 530-545pm. Citizen reports the residence was entered by prying open the roof hatch and a camera bag containing two cameras and assorted lens was stolen.
• Burglary occurred in the 900 b/o17th St. NW between 12/4/2008 650pm-12/5/2008 10am. Citizen reports the office was entered by prying the side door and 2- laptop computers were stolen.
• Theft occurred in the 1800 b/o N St. NW on 12/5/2008 945am- 3pm. Citizen reports a laptop computer and camera were stolen from the office in an unknown manner.
• Theft occurred in the 1400 b/o 22nd St. NW on 12/5/2008 2-215am. Citizen reports a purse, wallet, camera and cellphone was stolen from the club when left unattended.
• Theft occurred in the 2000 b/o P St. NW on 12/5/2008 12- 110pm. Citizen reports a restaurant sign was stolen from the sidewalk by unknown suspect.
• Theft occurred in the 900 b/o 18th St. NW on 12/1/2008 605- 610pm. Citizen reports her wallet, cash and cards were stolen from her purse while inside the metro subway station.
• Theft occurred in the 1800 b/o M St. NW on 12/6/2008 221am . Citizen reports the suspect ran a tab in the bar and attempted to flee without paying. CASE CLOSED with the arrest of a black male, 32yoa, 6’1, 250 lbs.
• Theft occurred in the 1300 b/o New Hampshire Ave. NW on 12/4/2008 9pm. Citizen reports cash, and credit cards were stolen from her purse which she left open and unattended on a table in the restaurant.
• Theft from Auto occurred in the 2100 b/o L St. NW on 12/6/2008 815-830pm. Citizen reports the vehicle, no description, given, was entered by smashing the rear passenger window and a purse, wallet, cash and assorted papers was stolen.
• Theft from Auto occurred in the 2100 b/o L St. NW on 12/6/2008 830am- 640pm. Citizen reports the vehicle, a ’07 Ford E150 truck bearing Md. tags was entered by smashing the drivers window and tools were stolen.
• Theft from Auto occurred in the 1600 b/o M St. NW between 12/5/2008 9pm- 12/6/2008 630pm. Citizen reports the vehicle, a ’98 BMW Z3 bearing N.C. tags was entered by smashing the passenger window and a GPS was stolen.
• Theft from Auto occurred in the 1700 b/o Rhode Island Ave. NW between 12/5/2008 11pm- 12/6/2008 230am. Citizen reports the vehicle, a ’08 Toyota RAV4 bearing Va. tags was entered the passenger side window and a bag containing cards was stolen.
• Theft from Auto occurred in the 1300 b/o 17th St. NW on 12/4/2008 720- 1030pm. Citizen reports the vehicle, no description given, was entered by smashing the passenger window and property not listed was stolen.
• Theft occurred in the 1500 b/o Q St. NW on 12/4/2008 10-1050pm. Citizen reports the vehicle, a ’06 Ford ESCAPE bearing Va. tags was entered by smashing the passenger window and an IPOD was stolen.
