Greetings, Borderstanians. I am on holiday in Los Angeles with my partner… house-and pet-sitting for friends. Yes, the winter weather here is wonderful and yesterday we spent the afternoon at 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Great place — four blocks of shops, restaurants, movie theaters, etc. Lots of people–great people watching–and things to see on the street, including some [licensed] street performers. (Can you ever imagine that D.C. would allow street performers?) Thought you might enjoy this photo of a monkey. She was very sweet and her name is Suni (sic).

Note to fellow animal lovers: Santa Monica is an extremely progressive municipality. I refuse to believe that the guy who owns this monkey would be licensed if she were mistreated in any way.
