PSA 208: Jan. 5 Crime Report

Following are crimes that occurred in Police Service Area (PSA) 208 on Feb. 5. West Borderstan (west of 15th Street NW) is part of PSA 208, which includes Dupont Circle and parts of Kalorama Circle. Report is from MPD Second District listserv on Yahoo! Groups.

  • Theft occurred in the 2000 block of N Street NW on Feb. 1, 5:30 p.m. Citizen reports a package was left at the desk for him but when he went to retrieve it the package had been stolen.
  • Theft occurred in the 1700 block of 17th Street NW on Feb. 5, 9:10 p.m. Citizen reports 3 black male suspects, 17 to 25 years of age, no further description, entered the store and stole assorted property. All suspects fled in unknown direction.
  • Theft occurred in the 1300 block of Connecticut Avenue NW on Feb. 5, 11:20 a.m. Citizen reports the suspect, a black male, 5’11, 160 lbs., dark complexion, concealed a cell phone in his pocket and fled south on Conn. Ave. NW.
  • Theft occurred in the 2000 block of Massachusetts Avenue NW on Feb. 4, 5:50 to 9:10 p.m. Citizen reports the suspect, a male, no further description, entered and stole cash from the office in an unknown manner.
  •  Theft from Auto occurred in the 1800 block of 18th Street NW on Feb. 5, 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Citizen reports the vehicle, a ’99 Honda Civic bearing MD tags was entered by smashing the passenger window and a back pack was stolen.
  • Stolen Auto attempt occurred in the 1500 block of N Street NW on Feb. 5, 5 to 8:30 p.m. Citizen reports the vehicle, a ’97 Honda Accord bearing MD tags was entered by forcing the passenger window and the ignition punched in an attempt to steal the vehicle.
