Skylight Burglar Targets 1700-Block S St. NW

Police Service Area (PSA) 208 sent the following message about a burglar who is targeting the 1700-block of S Street NW. The burglar(s) is focusing on skylights on rooftops.

Last week a residential burglary occurred in the 1700 Block of S St NW and it appears the suspect gained entry via a skylight. A second residential burglary was reported today. This residential burglary occurred in the same block and in the same manner, at an unknown time. (The resident was out of town for a period of time.)

Further investigation and examination of this incident reveals that numerous skylights appeared to have been tampered with in the 1700 block of S Street NW. We are working diligently to capture this suspect, and we ask for your assistance in securing your residence.
