Here are the year-to-date (January 1 through February 28) crime stats for the Borderstan area of DupontLogan, for 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Noticeable Trends in Borderstan

 

 

 

 

  • Total Crime in Borderstan is virtually the same for the first two months of 2009 as it was in the previous two years: 40 crimes in 2007, 40 in 2008 and 38 in 2009.

  • While the number of violent crimes decreased from 7 to 6 for the period, the number of gun crimes actually increased from 1 to 4, from 2008 to 2009.
  • Robberies went down from 4 in the January-February period of 2008 to 6 in the same period of 2009.
  • For nonviolent crimes, burglaries held steady (4 in 2008 and 5 in 2009) as did thefts from autos (14 last year and 13 this year).

They are crimes that occur within 1,000 feet (circular pattern) of 15th and Corcoran Streets NW (center of Borderstan)West Borderstan (west of 15th NW) is part of PSA 208 while East Borderstan (east of 15th NW) is part of PSA 307Borderstan borders are P to S Streets and 14th to 16th Streets NW.
