Nice… Gallery plan b in Borderstan (1530 14th Street NW) has an exhibition and silent auction of major works from Washington’s Robert Brown Gallery. It opened on the 8th and runs through May 11.

The opening reception is this Saturday, April 18, 6 to 8 p.m. Details follow and are online.

Gallery plan b is pleased to announce an exhibition and silent auction featuring works by internationally acclaimed artists including Jennifer Bartlett, Richard Diebenkorn, Andy Goldsworthy, Ellsworth Kelly, William Kentridge, Brice Marden, Henri Matisse, Ed Ruscha, Joseph Solman, Donald Sultan, Linn Meyers, Adam Fowler, and many others.

The exhibition and auction are comprised of artworks from the Robert Brown Gallery, Washington, DC. Robert Brown has been a well-known presence on the Washington gallery scene for over 25 years.

He has organized an exciting event to view and purchase works by artists that are included in major art museums around the world such as the Metropolitan Museum, the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum, Tate, MoMA, SFMoMA, and the Guggenheim.

The Exhibition will run from April 8 – May 11, 2009, with an Opening Reception to be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009, from 6-8pm. The Silent Auction will preview from April 8 – 18, 2009, and bidding will run April 18 – May 2, 2009. Please visit our website for details and images.
