Reminder… the monthly community meeting of Police Service Area (PSA) 208 is this Tueday, June 16, at 7 p.m. at 1620 V Street NW (Third District station). PSA 208 meets the third Tuesday of each month.
The big news in 208 is that we once again have a new leader. Lt. Erich Miller has left MPD for a job with the federal government. Sgt. John McDonald has been named acting head of 208.
PSA 208 encompasses the Dupont Circle neighborhood and part of the Kalorama Circle area. West Borderstan (west of 15th Street) is in PSA 208.
Year-to-date (January through April) crime stats for PSA 208 are posted here. Overall, total crime for the first four months of the year in PSA 208 edged up 5% in 2009 after rising about 2% in 2008. Stats for YTD January through May will be posted Tuesday.
