Attention Borderstan cyclists:
MPD has in the Property Division close to 19 bikes that have been recovered in the district. Four were recovered yesterday in the Second District. If your bike was stolen, and you can properly identify it with either a receipt from a sale, or a picture with details along with your crime report, please contact Detective Sgt. Crime Prevention Tips for Theft of Bicycles
- Secure the bike with a lock to a fixed heavy object for additional safety.
- Always use a bicycle lock when not in use, even if unattended for just a few minutes.
- Ensure the lock is placed through the frame and the wheels.
