Only here… one of the nice things about living in Borderstan is that you meet people who do unusual, interesting foreign policy stuff that allows them to travel to cool places.

This one is for the foreign policy wonks in Borderstan… a beer bash at 9 p.m. tonight-the-28th at Station 9, 1438 U Street NW (tickets $15 at door, $10 online). It is sponsored by America’s Impact, a “progressive network of foreign policy professionals.” From Leigh Anne, the group’s executive director:

In a gentle poke of fun at the recent White House beer extravaganza, and as a encore to the recent DC Beer Week, we will be holding a beer-themed party at Station 9 on Friday night: the BEER SUMMIT. The event will benefit a new organization, America’s Impact, an NGO focused on improving America’s foreign policy impact abroad. We’ll be featuring 2 local bands a couple of DJs spinning a mix of hip-hop, international and dance music. There will also be a raffle for kegs of beer and other beer-related prices.
