The results of another extremely unscientific, unrepresentative and unreliable Borderstan opinion poll have been tallied. The August 29 poll was about  “Texas Secession From the Union.” According to a large majority of 122 Borderstan readers, it is fine-by-them if Texas wants to leave the union. (A commenter noted that perhaps a better question would have been on whether Texas has the right to secede. It’s a good point.)

But, the question posed was, “Texas Secession: What’s Your Opinion?” and here are the results:

66% – Texas secession is fine by me (80 votes)

25% – Against it, but let Texas leave (30 votes)

9% – Never! Texas MUST stay! (11 votes)

1% – Undecided (1 vote)

Analysis: There is little enthusiasm in Borderstan for another U.S. civil war.
