Say Halo to Mova; Local Lounge Going Green

Halo Lounge on P Street changed its name to Mova on New Year’s Day. The new name is a take on owner Babak Movahedi‘s name and part of the lounge’s rebranding.

Mova’s Facebook page explains the lounge’s evolution from Halo to Mova as well as planned design changes and a plan to become more environmentally friendly:

Keeping ahead of the trends, throughout the next 12 months, we plan to enhance MOVA’s look to a more modern appeal. MOVA will maintain Halo’s crisp, clean, simplistic design aesthetic while updating decorative elements, lighting, and color. This will set the trend for nightlife for this decade and will provide cohesion with our new brand values. It is important to us, that any architectural or equipment change we make be more energy saving.

Through physical and conceptual updates, we plan on making MOVA’s environment a more healthy and balanced place. Continuing our practice of feng shui, our updated ambiance will be both aesthetically balanced, but also more clean. By updating our heating, ventilation, and air systems, MOVA will improve the air quality in the lounge, and will also use more efficient equipment to reduce harm to the environment.
