R Street Closed for Pepco Repairs

Update: Only a handful of Pepco customers are without power tonight.
As dcist notes, a portion of R Street is closed. There are five large Pepco trucks on R Street just west of 15th Street NW. The only info we could get from a Pepco worker was that the power went out… something wrong underground. The Pepco workers are near the Chastleton apartment building at the corner of 16th and R NW.
There is a traffic cop at the corner of At 15th and R NW and traffic is moving well right now.
No, we have not heard any manholes explode.
