Catch two new exhibits in the neighborhood this weekend. At gallery plan b on 14th Street, see Steed Taylor’s “Portrait of a Road Tattoo.” At the Joan Hisaoka Gallery on U Street, there is a Friday reception for “Through Their Eyes: Haitian Artists’ Visions of Home” plus photos from National Geographic’s Maggie Steberith.

At Transformer Gallery on P Street, a new exhibit opens Friday evening with an artist reception from 7 to 9 pm: E7: Tetrad. Transformer says, “Featuring new works by Reuben Breslar, Jennifer DePalma, Adam Dwight, and Treva Elwood, this year’s Exercises for Emerging Artists program, guest-curated by artist and professor Page Carr, highlights various incarnations of drawing, painting, and animation that explore themes of artistic process, personal history, character study, and the struggle for perfection.”

Saturday is the last day to see Kathryn Cornelius: “The Feelings of What Happens” at the Curator’s Office on 14th Street.

See what else is on exhibit at Dupont-Logan-U Street galleries–below the fold.

  1. Hey, the artist who just opened at Plan B, Steed Taylor, is looking for volunteers to help bring one of his projects to life on 14th street. You should do a post about it!
