Staying in Town? Check Out the Galleries
Staying in town this 4th of July weekend? Don’t feel like sitting on I-95 or going bumper-to-bumper on the approach to the Bay Bridge? Perhaps walking from home to an art gallery is a better option. Three new exhibits opened last week at Borderstan-area galleries:
- At gallery plan b on 14th Street, see Steed Taylor’s “Portrait of a Road Tattoo.”
- At the Joan Hisaoka Gallery on U Street, take in “Through Their Eyes: Haitian Artists’ Visions of Home” plus photos from National Geographic’s Maggie Steberith.
- At Transformer Gallery on P Street, go see “E7: Tetrad.”
Thursday is the last day to see Anna U. Davis: “The Dance before the Kill” at the Long View Gallery on 9th Street NW.
See what else is on exhibit at Dupont-Logan-U Street galleries–below the fold.
