Slow Summertime Schedule for Local Theater
It’s summertime in DC and a number of local theaters in the Dupont-Logan-U Street are are on hiatus this weekend. However, you can catch the Washington Improv Theater at the Source Theater on 14th Street, which runs through July 31… and New Jerusalem: The Interrogation of Baruch de Spinoza is playing at the Goldman Theater at the DC Jewish Community Center through July 25.
What’s Coming Up?
Opening next weekend, on July 24, at the Church Street Theater is Noises Off, which “uses the concept of “play within a play” while comically showing how cast and crew’s off-stage antics and personalities affect on-stage performance.”
Moonlight opens September 9 at the Studio Theatre on 14th… and Sanctified opens October 21 at the Lincoln Theatre on U Street.
Meet Neighborhood Artists
Also, make plans now for Sunday, August 8, at the Source Theater for “Open Source: Meet Your Neighborhood Artists”–check the schedule as events run from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm. This event is part of the MidCity Business Association’s annual Dog Days Sidewalk Sale.
