Tuesday: National Police Night Out in Dupont Circle

National Police Night Out is this Tuesday, August 3. Locally, there will be a Night Out event in Dupont Circle from 5 to 8 pm. Members of the DC Police will be in the Circle to meet residents and answer questions, and local businesses are donating barbecue and soft drinks. Tuesday’s event is part of the Dupont Festival series.
Several local business will donate up to 10% of all sales on Police Night Out to non-profit groups that benefit the families of police officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. The funds collected will provide financial assistance with the Washington, DC, Police Officers’ Memorial Service, an annual service honoring local officers who have died in the line of duty.
The Dupont Circle area is part of MPD’s Police Service Area (PSA) 208 while Logan Circle is served by PSA 307. The U Street area is part of PSA 305. MPD is also sponsoring a number of other local National Night Out events in the different police districts around DC.
