As if you need another reason to head over to the Farmers Market at 14th and U this Saturday morning… some of your favorite DC Food Bloggers (ahem… yours truly included) will be doing back to back cooking demos from 10 am to 1 pm. (The market also has a Facebook Page.)

We’re keeping things fresh: ingredients right from the farmers at the market. We’re keeping things cool: no-cook and no-bake recipes, as much as possible. And we’re keeping things fun: expect lots of experimenting, laughing and maybe even dancing (okay, maybe that’s just me).

Here’s what you can expect:

  1. 10 am: Olga Berman of Mango and Tomato will create a Raw Beet and Arugula Salad with Goat Cheese.
  2. 10:45 am: Alejandra Owens of One Bite At A Time has Goat Cheese Cheesecake and No-Bake Lasagna.
  3. 11:30 am: Tammy Gordon of Florida Girl in DC is on with a Farmers Market Summer Confetti.
  4. 12:15 pm: Sylvie Nguyen of Thrifty DC Cook is doing a delicious Thai Beef Salad.

Come on down and say hello and grab a free sample. We can’t wait to see you!

PS – I will be at the Borderstan.com table later in the afternoon. Look for us in front of go mama go! at 1809 14th Street NW (next to the Black Cat).

  • So looking forward to it…hope my recipe works: I just thought of it in my head: did not actually practice it 🙂
