Westminster Street NW: What’s your house or condo worth? (Luis Gomez Photos)

From Tom Hay

Are you thinking of putting your house or condo on the market but don’t know what it is worth? Never fear, HGTV is back!

This time the cable channel is searching the DC Metro area for guest stars for their popular Real Estate Intervention show. The show features real estate expert Mike Aubrey who guides homeowners through the difficult task of pricing their home for quick sale. Considering the real estate mania of the past decade in the Logan Circle-U Street-Shaw area, there ought to be a least a few Borderstan readers who apply.

Aubrey and the guest homeowners typically tour comparable homes in the neighborhood to help set the price. This season will also feature Sabrina Soto, star of Get It Sold and style spokesperson for Target,  who will help with staging the home for a quick sale.

So whether you are selling to unlock some of that equity, or moving up to bigger quarters, consider appying for Real Estate Intervention. Inquiries may be sent to  [email protected] Please include the following information, as emails missing this information will not be considered:

  • Names and ages of people in your household
  • Address and phone number(s)
  • How long your home has been on the market
