Wednesday: ANC 2F Meets

The monthly meeting of Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) 2F is Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 7 pm at the Washington Plaza Hotel at 10 Thomas Circle NW. ANC 2F serves the Logan Circle area.

Of note is the ANC’s new role in public education. From ANC 2F: “The Community Forum portion of the ANC 2F meeting this month will consist of a joint meeting with the Logan Circle Community Association, dedicated to the D.C. Public Schools in our area. With the newly created Education Committee of ANC 2F and a similarly proposed one of LCCA, a determined effort is initiated to improve the quality and suitability of our public schools.”

Will We Get Snow in Early December?

Perhaps. Dcist reports: “Your DCist editor-in-chief’s Thanksgiving morning was punctuated by some flutters of the white stuff in Philadelphia, and our friends at the Capital Weather Gang note that Washington might be getting its first real taste of flakes shortly…”

Logan Circle House Tour: Sunday, Dec. 5

The annual Logan Circle House Tour is this Sunday from 1 to 5 pm with 12 properties on this year’s tour. It benefits the Logan Circle Community Association (LCCA) and tickets are $20.

U Street Girl has a quick review of the recently opened hot dog place (must we always say joynt now?), Chidogo’s, on 14th St. just south of U St. NW. Borderstan editors get excited when just about any type of food costing less than $30 a meal opens close to home.
