New shows open this week at three of the five theaters in the area — Keegan Theatre at Church Street, the Source and Studio Theatre. Next week, a new show opens at Theater J. Here’s the lineup.
A Shadow of Honor opens this Friday at The Keegan Theatre at Church Street, 1742 Church Street NW: “From the playwright who brought DC audiences A House in the Country and An Island of No Land At All comes a compelling story of history and family, love and war. Keegan Theatre is proud to present the world premiere of Peter Coy’s A Shadow of Honor, where past and present collide as a new generation faces the repercussions of war — and something has to give.” Tickets are $35; $30 for students and seniors.
Opening this Saturday at the Source, 1835 14th Street NW: The In Series presents Pocket Opera: Ernesto Lecuona’s María la O and Ruggiero Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci [Clowns]. Show runs through January 22. Ticket prices online.
Return To Haifa opens Saturday, January 15 at Theater J, 16th and Q Streets NW.
