About today’s photo: This photo was taken at Connecticut Avenue and Q Street NW. The row of houses are on 20th Street NW. “The architecture of this row of buildings is very European.” – zanzabar03, January 15

You can submit up to five photos per day. We are looking for photos from DC’s Dupont, Logan and U Street neighborhoods.

  • You made my day! I love that photo, especially seeing our old building (Fathom Creative was the one on the left end for over a decade). As many fond memories as we had, however, we couldn’t be happier in our new ‘hood (14th St/Logan Circle). Thanks for posting Luis!

  • Thanks, Luis. This stretch of Conn. Ave. is so unique and fanciful, really evocative of Europe, as you said. So glad it hasn’t been razed to erect some ugly, boring office building. Really enjoying your photography of our area.

    • Thanks for comment, but the photo is from one of the members of the new Borderstan Reader Pool on Flickr! We are running a Photo of the Day from members.

Wow, this looks very similar to streets many places in southern Germany and Austria (Innsbruck, Austria or Munich, for example). We just got back from there and have lots of similar pictures. Very cool.
