Crimes of Note: March 15

The monthly public meeting of Police Service Area (PSA) 208 is tonight, Tuesday night, March 15, at 7 pm. Location is the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Third District Headquarters at 1620 V Street NW. These monthly meetings (third Tuesday of the month) are roundtables and residents are encouraged to raise any issues for discussion related to crime and public safety in the Dupont Circle area.

PSA 208 covers the Dupont-Kalorama area and it is led by Lt. Scott Dignan. The PSA is part of MPD’s Second District. MPD posts crime reports and news on the Second District Yahoo! listserv.

Crimes of Note

The following is a list of robberies, assaults, sex crimes, drug crimes, stolen autos and burglaries in the Dupont-Logan-U Street area over the past week. Crimes are from police reports for Police Service Areas 208, 305 and 307.

Robbery

• Tuesday, March 8, 9:30 pm, 1800 block of 8th Street NW (parking garage).
• Friday, March 11, 2:15 pm, 10th and P Streets NW (sidewalk).
• Saturday, March 12, 6:15 am, 15th and R Streets NW: “Two black males, 6 feet tall, wearing stocking caps and all black clothing, last seen in the area of 14th Street and Chapin Street NW.”
• Sunday, March 13, 11:45 pm, 1700 block of 9th Street NW: “Force & Violence, LOF: (2) B/M, early 20’s; suspect 1- 5’8″-5’9″, black Northface coat, skinny blue jeans; suspect 2- no lookout L/S on French Street.”
• Saturday, March 12, 8 pm, 9th and T Streets NW.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon

• Sunday, March 13, 12:15 am, 900 block of Florida Avenue NW (sidewalk).

Burglary

• Wednesday, March 9, 8:30 am to 6:09 pm, 2200 block of 10th Street NW (residence).

Stolen Auto
