  1. I’ve learned from the MPD that the “robbery” on the 1300 block of T Street on May 21 was actually a domestic dispute where the suspect and the complainant got into an argument after a shopping trip and the suspect grabbed and ran away with complainant’s purse. An unfortunate event, of course — but not a random street crime.

    Here’s the official report:

C-1 REPORTS WHILE WALKING WITH AN ACQUAINTANCE AT THE LISTED LOCATION ,C-1 AND S-1 ENTERED INTO AN ARGUMENT OVER SHOPPING. S-1 GRABBED C-1’S PURSE AND BEGAN TO PULL ON THE PURSE , AT THE SAME TIME S-1 WAS HITTING C-1 ON THE LEFT ARM TRYING TO GET HER TO RELEASE THE PROPERTY.C-1 RELEASE THE PROPERTY TO S-1, S-1 FLED EAST ON TST NW TOWARDS 13TH ST NW.
