Man Found Dead in Car at 11th & Q NW

A man was found dead in a car on the 1600 block of 11th Street NW on Sunday evening, according to DC Police. That block of 11th Street is between Q and R and near the Shaw Dog Park. An autopsy is being performed but police believe the death was from natural causes. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at (202) 727-9099.

The police statement:

“At approximately 5:43 p.m., on today’s date, MPD units investigated the unconscious motorist in the 1600 blk of 11th Street, N.W. An initial investigation determined that the motorist, a male, was not conscious or breathing, and he was confirmed dead. While the death appears to be from natural causes, the decedent has been transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an official determination. The identity of the descendant has not been released, pending family notification. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the MPD at (202) 727-9099. Thank you.”
