Early Morning Fire at U Street Liquor Store

An early-morning fire at the U Wine & Beer liquor store on the 1300 block of U Street NW closed the street early this morning. WJLA-7 reports that about 75 firefighters were on the scene: “Flames broke out at a liqour store around 5:30 a.m. Friday in the 1300 block of U Street, then spread to an upstairs dance studio. No injuries were reported.”
