Today’s photo, “McDonald’s,” was taken by anokarina on July 31. It is at the southwest corner of 14th and U Streets NW where a large new development will begin this fall. Formerly known as the Utopia project, it will have residential and retail space on both U and 14th. The McDonald’s will remain as it is located in a building with a historic facade. The new building(s) will go up behind the McDonald’s location.
