Crimes are from police reports for Police Service Areas (PSAs) 208 (Dupont-Kalorama), 305 (includes U Street area) and 307 (Logan Circle).

Robberies

Assaults

• Friday, August 12, 11:55 pm, area of 17th and R Streets NW: “The victim reported that while at the listed intersection and in his vehicle, an unknown subject approached and began punching him about the face. A nearby MPD officer intervened at which time the suspect began swinging at the officer and other officers who had responded to assist. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly. This is a closed case.”
• Saturday, August 13, 1 am, 1300 block of Connecticut Avenue NW: “The victim reported that while waiting for a bus in the listed area two unknown males in a vehicle stopped directly in front of him, exited the auto and began to punch him about the face with closed fists. The suspects got back into the auto and left the area. This assault was reportedly completely unprovoked. The suspects were described as: #1-Black/Male, 18-25 YOA, with short hair; and #2-Hispanic/Male, 18-25 YOA, nothing further.”
