Today’s photo, “Batala,” was taken by Luis Gomez on September 9. “Batala is an all-women percussion band and they were playing at the corner of 14th and U Streets NW. If you haven’t heard them you should. They are fun and really full of energy. They have groups all over the world, I was told.”
