BorderstanIf you see gaggles of kids in the Dupont-Logan area walking to school together on Wednesday, they’re probably part of International Walk to School Day. One local school participating in the October 5 event is Ross Elementary on R Street NW. Ross also participates in the Safe Routes Program.

On October 5, students will walk, bike or scoot to school. The purpose of the program is to enhance the health of students, improve air quality in neighborhoods and to build safety awareness among families.
