Borderstan crimeThe following two crimes are a reminder that robberies don’t just happen on quiet, dark streets late at night. It always pays to be alert, which early-morning joggers and dogwalkers need to remember

  1. Sounds about right. I was enjoying a BBQ Sunday night when I heard two people running through the back alley, one of them screaming “Drop the Phone!… Drop the F#$*ING phone!” as they ran by. Hope he got his phone back. Not sure I would have actually chased the guy…

  2. which alley was this on?

  3. There was also an early evening (8pm) mugging on hobart street last night where 6 youths attacked an elderly man for his wallet.

  4. People will continue to have their smart phones stolen from them the more they continue to loosely display them without being aware that there is a world around them.

It’s a fact and really just silly to consider it news worthy. I watched a guy, with his face buried in his phone, walk directly into what seemed like an elephant sized pile of poo the other day.

    Pay attention people.
14th & P/U St is a hot spot for the latest tech gadgets and the thieves know you’re not paying attention. You have a target displayed right on your head.

It’s Urban Safety 101 (A,B,C) it really isn’t that complicated.
