The EatWell DC family of restaurants will host the fourth of its quarterly fundraisers, “GiveWell Dine Out Nights,” on Monday, December 19, to benefit So Others Might Eat (SOME). Eat at any of the four EatWell DC restaurants after 5 pm — three are in Borderstan — and 10% of your check goes to SOME. It’s that simple.

SOME is an interfaith, community-based organization whose mission is to help meet the daily needs of DC’s poor and homeless with food, shelter, clothing, health care and other services. Ten percent of dinner proceeds from the company’s four restaurants will be donated to SOME — Grillfish, Logan Tavern, Commissary and The Heights.

There are no tickets to purchase for the Dine Out Night fundraiser and no cost to the guest. Simply visit at any of the EatWell DC restaurants for dinner on Monday, December 19 after 5 pm and 10% of every check will be donated. Reservations are recommended. Three of the restaurants are in the Borderstan area: Grillfish (1200 New Hampshire Avenue NW), Logan Tavern and Commissary (1400 block of P Street NW) are all in the Borderstan area.

In addition to the Dine Out night, the Eatwell restaurants will be collecting canned foods for the Capital Area Food Bank, as well as gifts for Toys for Tots throughout the month of December. Toy donations can be dropped off at either Grillfish (1200 New Hampshire Avenue NW) or Logan Tavern (1423 P Street NW). Canned foods and other non-perishables are being collected at Commissary (1443 P Street NW) and The Heights (3115 14th Street NW).
