As of January 1, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) introduced new District and Police Service Area (PSA) boundaries (see New Police Service Areas Take Effect January 1). Over the next few weeks, we’ll be doing brief overviews of the boundaries of the new PSAs and how to contact the police personnel in charge of each area. We previously covered PSA 305 and PSA 301.

This week, we take a look at PSA 307 — see the Google map or the map at the DC Citizen Atlas. PSA 307 changed only slightly as part of realignment and continues to cover much of the area surrounding Logan Circle.

East to west, the new PSA 307 goes from 9th Street NW to 14th Street NW. PSA 307 has a northern boundary of S Street NW and a southern boundary of Massachusetts Avenue NW from 9th Street to where Massachusetts Avenue intersects with L Street NW at about 11th Street NW. The southern boundary then follows L Street NW until 14th Street NW (view Google map or map at DC Citizen Atlas).

Almost all of PSA 307 falls within Borderstan’s coverage areas, with the exception of a small portion in the southwestern part of the PSA that falls below Massachusetts Avenue NW. Prior to realignment, PSA 307 extended west to 15th Street NW instead of 14th Street NW. That area is now part of PSA 301 and PSA 208 (which we will be profiling next week).

PSA 307s Contacts

As a reminder, residents will have an opportunity to meet the new PSA management team at a meet and greet in February (we’ll post information on the meeting as soon as it’s available).
