Wednesdays: Summer Backyard Bash is Back at Helix Lounge
Helix Lounge’s Backyard Bash launches again for the summer on Wednesday, May 9, with some new additions. Located on the patio at Hotel Helix, 1430 Rhode Island Avenue NW, they bill the events as “perfect for Washingtonians without their own patio or grill.” Price-wise, it will only you back about $7 ($10 with a beer).

Every Wednesday night during the summer, from 5 to 7 pm on their patio, Helix Lounge will serve a choice of burger (local beef, chicken, black-eyed pea, and turkey) grilled on their new wood-fired outdoor grill, a free toppings bar and bag of chips all for $7. Specialty topping are an extra buck each. A can of DC Brau Lager goes for $3 — plus happy hour prices are effect.
Helix says they brought in Chef Thomas Dunklin of Kimpton’s B&O Brasserie in Baltimore to help reconcept the Helix Lounge’s full menu, which will also launch in May. (Helix Hotel and Hotel Rouge at 16th and Scott Circle NW are part of the Kimpton chain.)
