On Wednesday, July 11, Church of the Holy City will host the widely recognized cellist, Natalie Spehar, and friends at the “Music with the Angels” concert series.
An active classical, rock and folk performer, Spehar has studied the cello for 14 years and has been a member of several ensembles, ranging from the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra to Primitivity, a DC-based rock cello ensemble.
Throughout the concert, Spehar and fellow musicians-Nikola Ragus, Amelie Brodeur and Mila Naumova Roushakes-will perform selections by Handel, Debussy, Villa-Lobos, Piazzolla, and Mellits, among others.
The concert starts at 7:30 pm and is free and open to the public. Church of the Holy City is located at 1611 16th Street NW, at 16th and Corcoran.
