Those who stick around the city during August might agree that it is the most peaceful time of year in the District. Chances are, you can actually snag a seat on the metro, the beltway looks more like a road and less like a clogged pipe and you just might score a reservation at one of 14th Street’s newest restaurants.
To help celebrate these so-called “dog days” of summer, the MidCity Business Association and local businesses will host the 13th Annual Dog Days Sidewalk Sale and Celebration. (Find Dog Days on Facebook, too.)
On August 4th and 5th, join more than 70 local retailers, restaurants, galleries and businesses for sidewalk sales, music, food and drinks. The celebration will take place on 14th Street NW (between P Street and Florida Avenue) and U Street NW (between 9th Street and 17th Street).
Times for the event are 9 am to 8 pm on Saturday, August 4 and 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday, August 5.
