On Saturday, August 11, join Justin Schuck and his policy-focused advertising organization, Influential, for its second “Justin’s Famous Fish Fry.” This year’s event will benefit the District Alliance for Safe Housing (DASH) and the women and children the organization serves.

Here’s what Justin has cooking for the finger-licking afternoon event:

  • Arkansas-style fried catfish
  • Justin’s famous hush puppies (vegetarian)
  • Fried zucchini and/or fried okra (vegan)
  • Fried Twinkie’s (vegetarian), fried Snickers (vegetarian) and fried Oreos (vegan)

Goûter, a local store that churns out delicious vegan treats, will also be on hand to sample some products.

The Fish Fry will take place at 1611 Irving Street NW and goes from noon until 4 pm. There is a suggested donation of $10, all proceeds directly benefit DASH. Donations of diapers, non-perishable food items, school supplies or gift cards (Giant, CVS, Visa) are also appreciated.
