UPDATE on Early Morning Gun Robbery, 1800 Block 19th Street NW

Update: Second District Police released the following information on the MPD Second District listserv about the Sunday morning gun robbery on the 1800 block of 19th Street NW:

“On Sunday, August 26, 2012, at approximately 3:00 AM , the victim was standing at the corner of 19th Street and T Street, Northwest, when two (2) suspects approached and brandished a black handgun and demanded money from the victim. The victim complied by giving the suspects money and a cell phone. The victim was not physically injured during this offense. The suspects fled the scene on foot southbound on 19th Street. Suspect #1 was described as a black male, 17-19 years of age, 5’10” skinny build, dark complexion, wearing white t-shirt and armed with a black handgun. Suspect #2 was described as a black male, 17-19 years of age, 5’7″ regular build, dark complexion, no clothing description given. The victim flagged down a police patrol car and reported the offense.

“Any citizen having information or observing a person matching the above description should immediately call police on 9-1-1 or at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. We also ask that the public contact us immediately if they observe any suspicious activity in their neighborhood.”

The DC Police reported that a gun robbery occurred early this morning, August 26, at 3:07 a.m. on the 1800 block of 19th Street NW (between S and T Streets).
