Yola, the fresh yogurt parfait and coffee shop at 1323 Connecticut Avenue NW, announced that it will close its doors on September 28.

The locally-sourced and sustainability-focused store was the brain-child of a father-daughter team (David and Laura), both long-time residents of DC. Both DC Eater and Yola’s Facebook announcement confirm that another tenant is lined-up to takeover the Dupont Circle space, but no name was released.

Yola’s announcement (published by DC Eater) reads: “There is not any one cause that influenced our decision to close, but we want to be clear that we remain wholehearted believers in green businesses and feel confident that businesses that stick to their morals can thrive in the right environment. We are confident that you will enjoy the concept that will move into our space and feel deeply grateful to them for making this transition smooth. They share our commitment to high quality and socially conscious food.”

The good news is that you can soak up Yola’s yogurt and coffee for 10 more days. Yola is open Monday through Friday from 7 am until 7 pm; Saturday from 9 am until 7 pm; and Sunday from 9 am until 6 pm.
