Wednesday: Ross Elementary “Walk to School Day” on R Street

October 3 is the annual Walk to School Day at Ross Elementary School. There will be no left-side parking on R Street NW (between 17th Street NW and the main entrance of Ross) from 8 to 9 am on Wednesday morning.

Walk to School Day is an international effort organized by the Partnership for a Walkable America to promote health, sustainability and the need for more walkable communities.

  • CORRECTION – There will be no parking on the left side of R Street starting at 17th up to the main entrance of the school. MPD will be on site to assist with traffic control and safety. Traffic SHOULD NOT be affected. Those driving are encouraged to park at the church parking lot at 15th and R Streets and walk together as a group to Ross Elementary. We hope to see everyone out there!
