If you see a mob of zombies swaying down the streets of DC today, fear not. Those dressed up as the dead are just dedicated fans of the AMC hit show, “The Walking Dead,” and they are out to protest Dish Network’s refusal to carry the show, set to air the premiere of its third season this Sunday.
Apparently, Friday’s march is just a small part of the festivities tied to World Zombie Day, an event that is being celebrated around the world.
DC’s zombies will take to the streets between 11 am and 3 pm around many of Washington’s landmarks, including Lafayette Square Park, The Washington Monument and venues in between.
